Chinese-born artist Ah Xian has an unusual canvas upon which he exercises his creativity. Where many artists today choose digital tools as their paintbrush, Ah Xian sculpts elaborate busts with brilliant patterns from a porcelain core. Now residing in Australia at the age of 49, Xian has gained international acclaim in the art world for his unique form of sculpture. Each bust is a portrait of a friend or family member of the artist, with only one produced per design.
